In Moutagiaka, Limassol, on a 24-acre estate, a complex of 27 houses, 6 types of houses with a private pool, was built, the layout of which creates two private neighborhoods. Adjacent volumes fit perfectly into the natural curves of the plot, at a lower level than the entrance and slightly different from each other, so as not to be projected with “audacity” on the road. Access to the plot is by private road with access from the north and south.The guiding design principle was the integration of the buildings in the natural landscape and the transformation of the morphological elements in the architecture of the project, so as to create a modern architectural language adapted to the functional needs of the unit.The complex “leans” softly on the landscape, while offering absolute privacy to the tenants of the houses, with simultaneous access to public areas.The morphology of the buildings on the one hand “converses” with the natural environment with their forms and the use of materials friendly to them and on the other hand contains elements of new, minimalist aesthetics. Externally, the buildings are decorated with marble, wood and white plaster.In general, homes exude a discreet luxury, adapted to the environment. As for the interventions in the surrounding area, they were done with great modesty and respect for the landscape. The new planting that took place mainly contributes to the organization of the privacy of the houses, so that the image of the “untouched” and wild landscape prevails everywhere.
